WOWS Football
WOWS Football Leagues and Cups
The WOWS Football Leagues and Cup Competitions began in 2007. Prior to this the WOWS schools competed in the Wigan Leagues.
We have both Under 11s and Under 10s Leagues and Cups as well as running an annual Year 3 Football Tournament at Wigan Powerleague.
We promote participation in primary school football through enjoyment, fair play and respect for all others.
WOWS Year 3 Football
In addition to the U10s and U11s Leagues and Cups, we also give the opportunity for Year 3 children to play competitive football at the WOWS Year 3 Football Tournament. 12 schools entered the 2016 competition and all the children thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Their enthusiasm and sporting behaviour was a credit to their schools.

In the summer of 2018 WOWS held a Year 3 Football Tournament during the summer term at Newfold Community Primary School. We did hope to hold this event again in 2019/2020, however due to COVID we were unable to.
